Grandma and Grandpa Came to London!

My parents came to London about a week after Trenton was born to meet their new grandson and help us out while we were adjusting to life with 2 kids.  And, since this was their first trip to London, they were able to fit in some sight-seeing with the city's cutest tour-guide (Nathan).  My dad stayed for a week and my mom got to stay for 3 weeks.  We all loved having them here, but I think Nathan enjoyed it the most.  He absolutely adores Grandma and Grandpa (he had been counting down the months/days until their trip since October!) and he had so much fun with them while they were here.

After being so far away from my parents for the past year and a half, it was really nice to be able to spend so much time with them.  And, they were a big help too!  In addition to keeping Nathan busy, they figured out their way around Chelsea really quickly and started doing school drop-off and pick-up for me.  Nathan loved that!  In fact, he loved it so much that the one day I picked him up from school, he looked very disappointed to see me.  Instead of running up to me and giving me a big hug and saying "hi mommy," like he normally does, he looked at me with tears in his eyes and asked "where is Grandma and Grandpa?"

The hardest thing about living in London definitely is being so far away from family.  But, we're planning a trip to California in July/August, so we'll be seeing everyone again in about 5 months!  And, in the meantime, thank God for FaceTime!!

Nathan and Grandma played together in Nathan's room every morning from about 7:00 am until about 9 or 10:00 am so I could get some extra sleep in the mornings, because Trent is a night-owl and doesn't go to bed until about midnight every night!  I definitely miss this!

Trent's Newborn Photos

We had newborn photos taken of Trent when he was 9 days old.  These are some of my favorites from the photo session.
