November 2014

November was another busy month.  We saw the poppies at the Tower of London for Remembrance Day, had a special visitor come to town, celebrated Thanksgiving with great friends, and started to get into the Christmas spirit.  But, of course, Nathan managed to fit in lots of sports-playing.

Playing baseball with his make-shift catcher's mask.

A lazy Sunday.

A serious foosball game with his friend, Bodhi.

The Three Amigos in goal.

Trent's 10 month birthday.

The poppies at the Tower of London.  A poppy for each of the 889,246 people who lost their lives during World War 1.

Nathan and his friend, Brice, playing at the playground after school one day.  Brice was singing to Nathan :)

The Regent Street Christmas lights switch-on.

Nathan was very happy to be eating his first mince pie of the season.

Paddington Bear has come to London.  There are Paddington Bear statues all over the city right now.  We found this one outside of Harrods.
Ready to see Father Christmas at Harrods.

The Harrods Christmas Grotto.  Nathan is waiting patiently to see Father Christmas.

Luckily, there is plenty of stuff to keep the kids entertained while they are waiting to see Father Christmas.

Trent's first visit with Santa.  He was a bit unsure.  Despite the fact that he didn't smile in this picture, Nathan was actually really excited to see Santa this year.

My best friend, Amy, came to visit.  We went to a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed tea.  These were the yummy sweets they served during the tea.

Happy Thanksgiving!  We got to celebrate Thanksgiving twice this year.  On Thanksgiving Day, we had our own family Thanksgiving dinner (and, Amy was here to celebrate with us!).  Then, we got to celebrate Thanksgiving with friends on Saturday!

Two die-hard Yankees fans.

We decided to go out for our Thanksgiving dessert!
