We had a fun-filled bank holiday (3-day) weekend last weekend. We had friends (David and Lauren Horne) in town and we had a great time showing them around London! Luckily, we had some amazing weather while they were here, so they got to see London at its finest.
David is a big soccer fan, so of course, we had to make a trip up to Old Trafford to watch a Manchester United match. It was Nathan's first Man U game and he loved it! We made the mistake of telling him that we were taking him to the game about a week before we actually went, so every morning for a week he would declare that he wanted to "go to Manchester United right now." When the day finally came, he was so excited he could barely wait until it was time to leave. I think he enjoyed it, because ever since the game he has asked to wear his Man U jersey almost every day and every day he asks to hear (and sing along to) the Manchester United song (Glory, Glory Man United). There is no doubt that we are going to be a soccer family, just like my family was. He is already obsessed with the game and he is surprisingly good at it for a 2-year old. But, I guess I should not be surprised at that, because he has been kicking balls around the house ever since he first started walking.
